Hello. I am the Lazy Housewife. In this blog I intend to justify and over explain every aspect of why I am lazy, who is at fault for my laziness, and perhaps I will excite you by actually chronicling me doing something NOT lazy!
Why make a blog where I portray myself as the anti-supermom/wife?
That is easy, because it is the truth! I just want to share with other housewives and stay-at-home Moms the reality of "just being". There is nothing wrong with leaving dishes undone for 2 days, forgetting to switch out the laundry and having to re-wash and re-dry things, forgetting when the last time you mopped the kitchen floor was, and even not being able to see your bedroom floor.
Many of us are inundated with the television and magazine ads that show the happy housewife cleaning her immaculate house, making dinner every night of the week, confessing that "I don't have time to watch TV", and even the dreaded "I can't sleep if the living room isn't vacuumed/mopped". I understand that some women really are like this. I am in no way saying that they are liars. I am merely voicing my own beliefs and systems.
I hope that my laziness makes others feel superior, please I beg you, use my lazy life to make yourselves feel better! God only knows the magazines and television shows don't show lazy Moms and Wives to aid women who feel this way.
